Viber'in HD Sesli Görüşme Özelliği Yakında Symbian'da!

Again, the comparison between Android's CPU and Symbian phones' CPU is a bit harsh. In the great majority of cases, the Android phones are very strong (and have a built-in support for VoIP) unlike most Symbian devices, exluding maybe not the very very new ones. There is a real technological challenge in implementing Viber's HD-calling service in most Symbian devices, especially the older ones which already contain our messaging service.

Regarding your question why Viber was introduced in many Android devices before Symbian devices - well, just like any other company in the world that provides a global mass service, we are obligated to realistically look at the global market share of the different smartphone platforms. The reality is that Android and iPhone consist of the huge majority of smartphones in the world nowadays, and the new, strong Symbian devices (which will potentially be able to handle our calling service) still make up a small percentage. In accordance with this, we have to also distribute our manpower and time.

However, as I explained above, it is not even guaranteed that our HD-calling service will even be supported by most Symbian devices. This is what we've investigating these days, and once we have final conclusions, we'll share them with our users.

I understand your disappointed by the long wait, but we are doing everything within our power to give our fans official news as soon as possible.

Symbian phones support VoIP since the 9.3 version. Apps like Nimbuzz, Skype and Fring are good examples that there can be made VoIP calls on this platform and I dont think CPU power is the problem on older Symbian devices. Maybe the wi-fi strenght? And maybe you can make a non-HD calling service version for the older Symbian phones (9.3, 9.4) and HD call service enabled version since Nokia Belle devices are suitable enough for Viber in terms of power and other technologies.

Anyway I also thought that the app did not came earlier because of the Android usage in the market. The real answer that I was seeking.

please don´t give up, you know that many many users are still waiting for an update, especially froum turkey and non europe countries...It´s annoying that Nokia and all other companies neglected all symbian users.

Why can´t you release two versions of viber, one for old devices, which only supports text message and one for new devices with HD calls and text mesasages...

It can´t be that millions of users are desperated because also Nokia give a shit (sorry for this expression) on his users...

please make it like whatsapp, it´s certainly the best and most used app on Nokia symbian devices...

And I´m sure Viber will get it, too...please Viber don´t let us wait more in future and be the ear which hears our calls

arkadaşlarımın çoğu iphone kullanıyor ve hepsinde viber var. hepsi birbiriyle iletişim içinde. internete bağlı oldukları yerde telefon görüşmesi yapabiliyorlar. android kullananlar da bu görüşmelere dahil olabiliyor. ayrıca şu anda en popüler ve en çok kullanılan voip uygulaması viber. eğer n8'im hala olsaydı arkadaşlarımla konuşmak için en çok bu uygulamayı isterdim. öyle başka uygulama kullanınla olmuyor bu iş.

sanırım sesli görüşme özelliği gelmeyecek symbiana bence symbianı öldürmek istiyolar, bunlar mesajla idare etsinler diyede görüntülük mesaj bölümünü açmışlar, zaten symbianda kesin hd ses kalitesini destekleyecek bir işletim sistemi değildir telefon kesin donar... ama olursa ii olur hani bizlerde faydalanırız nimetten bu sayede yeni telefon değiştirmekten kurtuluruz ama sesli görüşme gelsede gelmesede telefonumu değiştirmeyeceğim telefonum elerimin arasında ölene kadarda değiştirmicem inat değilmi... bir kucak para bayılmak istemiyorum...
