There is a point where I don't understand. This "beta" Symbian version sure is at least more than one year old. You can tell from the UI layouts. This app was firstly, definitely made for Symbian Anna. Why didn't you release it earlier? This also means that you could also bring voicecalls earlier for Symbian. I hope you read this.

Is calling feature going to need a high-speed internet? Because in some locations of Turkey (like my house), the internet connection is very low.

Moreover, the reason we've been working for a long time on the messaging version is that we needed to develop and test it on many (many) different devices, as you probably know.

Now, adding the calling feature is not an easy task. It is technologically complex, and it is not guaranteed that the different Nokia devices even support this option.

Aside from that, please remember that we also have other projects running in our company, like Viber on whole new platforms, for example.

But the thing I can't understand is when you can perfectly develop a Viber with voicecalls for like a kazillion different Android devices with different OS versions, CPU's, GPU's, screen resolutions and not develop a voicecall enabled app for a few(compared to the Android models) Symbian 9.3, 9.4, Nokia Belle devices. They have similar CPU's, similar screens and other hardware is similar to. Also many apps work perfectly on all three OS versions without any optimization. It's good to see thay you started the project very early for Symbian but I can't see a good reason why It took so long or why did you stopped the development. I respect your other projects and I hope you finalize the Symbian app too.

Again, the comparison between Android's CPU and Symbian phones' CPU is a bit harsh. There is a real technological challenge in implementing Viber's HD-calling service in most Symbian devices, especially the older ones which already contain our messaging service.

Regarding your question why Viber was introduced in many Android devices before Symbian devices - well, just like any other company in the world that provides a global mass service, we are obligated to realistically look at the global market share of the different smartphone platforms. The reality is that Android and iPhone consist of the huge majority of smartphones in the world nowadays, and the new, strong Symbian devices (which will potentially be able to handle our calling service) still make up a small percentage. In accordance with this, we have to also distribute our manpower and time.

However, as I explained above, it is not even guaranteed that our HD-calling service will even be supported by most Symbian devices. This is what we've investigating these days, and once we have final conclusions, we'll share them with our users.
