I want to ask something about the calling feature.
Is calling feature going to need a high-speed internet? Because in some locations of Turkey (like my house), the internet connection is very low.

Your analysis of our development process is not 100% accurate The UI layouts may look old, but it is only because we started planning them long ago. Moreover, the reason we've been working for a long time on the messaging version is that we needed to develop and test it on many (many) different devices, as you probably know.

Now, adding the calling feature is not an easy task. It is technologically complex, and it is not guaranteed that the different Nokia devices even support this option.

Aside from that, please remember that we also have other projects running in our company, like Viber on whole new platforms, for example.

So in fact there is no mystery here We released Viber for Symbian (messaging) as soon as we completed the development and performed all the needed testing. As we said, we will share news with you about the calling feature when we have news ourselves.

We still prefer not to go into the technical details of this issue, but in general - yes. Viber uses an HD codec for voice, and for that codec usually high-speed internet is needed. However, remember that it could be either the cellular network (3G) or WiFi.

We are doing everything that we can within the technological and manpower limits, based on the cooperation we get from Nokia and other manufacturers. We certainly did not neglect our Symbian application, and we are still working these days to improve it, and hopefully add our calling option. However, we still can't guarantee anything until we make sure it is technologically possible.

Again, the comparison between Android's CPU and Symbian phones' CPU is a bit harsh. In the great majority of cases, the Android phones are very strong (and have a built-in support for VoIP) unlike most Symbian devices, exluding maybe not the very very new ones. There is a real technological challenge in implementing Viber's HD-calling service in most Symbian devices, especially the older ones which already contain our messaging service.

Regarding your question why Viber was introduced in many Android devices before Symbian devices - well, just like any other company in the world that provides a global mass service, we are obligated to realistically look at the global market share of the different smartphone platforms. The reality is that Android and iPhone consist of the huge majority of smartphones in the world nowadays, and the new, strong Symbian devices (which will potentially be able to handle our calling service) still make up a small percentage. In accordance with this, we have to also distribute our manpower and time.

However, as I explained above, it is not even guaranteed that our HD-calling service will even be supported by most Symbian devices. This is what we've investigating these days, and once we have final conclusions, we'll share them with our users.

I understand your disappointed by the long wait, but we are doing everything within our power to give our fans official news as soon as possible.
