by BeLLShocK This table was Awesome when first released, but now, with this latest version/update.. I can honestly say, without a doubt, that it is the ULTIMATE in Pinball yet for the iPhone/iPod Touch!

Awesome Pinball Game
by Free-dog After trying the lite version I had to go for the version immediately. This is an incredibly fun pinball experience from both a presentation and gameplay standpoint. Its a true arcade like experience, even the table is layed at a slant on the screen, unlike other pinball apps where the tables are flat to the screen. So the viewpoint is that of if you were playing at a real pinball table. The presentation of Pinball Ride is super, the graphics are crisp and flashy, and the background music is awesome.
The gameplay is the best I've ever seen from a pinball app. The ball launcher is smooth to pull back and shoot the ball, this might not sound like a huge deal and its really not but most iphone pinball games have a crappy ball launch and this game doesn't. Once you shoot the ball into play the camera movement follows the ball around giving a nice closeup of all the action. The ball bounces and pings around with realistic movement/physics and the flippers at the bottom of the table feel right as far as the physics go too.
There are all kinds of challenges and achievements to unlock on the table, and the table design is just awesome in my opinion. With the main theme of the game being racing, you take out opponents by targeting different areas of the table and defeat the gangs to earn points. Every time you complete a challenge or action, a flash of text with an illustration will appear on the screen during gameplay informing you of your accomplishments. You can earn special multi-balls as rewards as well, which can really light up the table and get your score up fast..
Like almost every other pinball game, the main goal overall is to earn as many points as you can. But with all the theme-based challenges, achievements, and story to go with it, this game feels like much more than just the "same old pinball game" to rack up points. You can score in so many ways and the gameplay theme is interesting, making you feel like you're accomplishing more than just upping your point total. I'm not gonna be getting sick of this game for while. Probably never. I'm surprised this game hasn't gotten all that much attention yet. I give it a 9.5/10. As for iphone pinball gaming this game is the ultimate for fun.
